MEET BECKY PATTON
Rev. Becky Patton is a gifted, sought-after teacher, speaker and radio contributor. She is known for her unique ability to integrate spiritual truth with cutting-edge research and real-life experience—and she speaks first-hand of finding powerful, practical, personal hope in seemingly hopeless circumstances, including the debilitating pain of sexual abuse and the hollow ache of low points in marriage.
A wife of 27 years and mother of two grown daughters, Becky has spent many years ministering to and mentoring women, whether as pastor, speaker, or personal encourager.
Several of the people who have accompanied Becky on her own path to wholeness now serve as Truessence board members—including her husband, ministry partners and close friends. Through these people and others, Becky holds her sexuality and her teaching to the highest levels of accountability.
BECKY’S WORDS TO YOU
I began a journey into the depths of my sexuality to get rid of baggage in my life. What I found was how intimately connected my spiritual journey was to my view of sexuality. As I continued my search for truth, I began to expose and reclaim many lies I believed about myself and my body, lies that kept me bound for many years.
It is through this experience that I have discovered the healing hand of God in very intimate areas of my life.
I am an average woman, certainly not the first to have found freedom in my sexuality, but I cannot keep the gratitude I feel to myself. I am passionate about sharing a taste of this freedom with other women.
I desire for women to:
- HEAL– in their wounded hearts and belief systems
- KNOW – they are uniquely crafted with purpose by a loving, intentional hand
- VALUE – their design—emotionally, spiritually and physically
- RESPECT – the differences and responsibilities of men vs. women
- TREASURE - their sexuality as a wild and wonderful gift from their Creator
- EXPERIENCE – deep freedom and joy in their sexuality
I believe that each of us carries the image of God within us and with that image is an ability to recognize truth. My vision is that when men and women are presented with the holy design of sexuality, next to other, distorted views of sexuality, their hearts would be drawn to the truth, like parched ground craves water.
